The post I was replying to was referring to the Australian figures. We were talking about Australia.

If we are including overseas matches and viewers, then cricket is by far the biggest sport in Australia because 100 millions Indians are watching our summer tests.

We smash AFL in Australia and the NRL overall smashes AFL

How does this even makes sense? If the AFL had 545k ratings and 1.6 million reach.....and the Origin last night had just over a million plus 2.1 million reach. So in reality last nights origin should have a reach of over 3 million if this was the case, as the ratings was much higher...it's simple fkn maths. Someone needs to go back to school

and I love your ignorance on these matters. Reach doesnt work the way you think it should. Its that simple.

Average Ratings are total audience/broadcast time. Reach is unique viewers in total during the broadcast for a minimum length of time.

No they havent. Folks like your buddy only started talking about consolidated data after I pointed out the differences between my data and his. Consolidated+7 ratings arent a new thing, and until this year they have generally favoured the AFL.

Media dont report them because they use the preliminary overnight VOZ/Oztam reports, and its no longer news a week after

I get mine from Broadcasters and VOZ. Same as everybody else.

Just that minimum amount of time is a ridiculously short and arbitrary amount of time
