sigh. I thought that was clearly sarcasm. Ive reported regionals whenever the data was available since 2013. The media havent always done so, but that doesnt mean the data doesnt exist.

In any case, it has absolutely always been included in my weekend posts since VOZ was introduced April 30, 2023.
Good luck with this dimwit mate.

And yet dimwits are saying the 20th NRL team shouldn’t be in NZ but instead needs to be in QLD because the AFL is ‘taking over’
There isn’t a single metric which indicates the afl is taking over in QLD. Future expansion clearly should be into new markets. But your little mate WB has been stating the opposite for years.

I would say on the GC the Suns are spending a lot more money than the Titans and seem to be winning out over them (maybe not "taking over").
Also as a metric the big crowds the Lions are getting - not far behind the Broncos and bigger on average than the Dolphins.
Also just influence within the government and decision making on stadiums for example the decision to build a 63k stadium that will in reality mainly be for AFL. Getting big money spent on that ground in Ipswich.
The AFL would be making inroads (certainly not "taking over").

Not even close mate, even on the Gold Coast. You just need to scratch the surface below NRL and AFL level on the GC to see it's a Rugby League city. AFL have the fumblers expat crowd, RL has the born and bred locals. It also has to be said that the overwhelming majority of people on the Gold Coast don't care much for sport at all.

As far as stadiums go, AFL have the benefit of hiding behind Cricket and Olympics for their upgrades, something RL needs to learn... Hide behind the Socceroos, Matildas and big Union events to justify the strategic upgrades we want.

Gold Coast is rugby league heartland

Two of the best junior schools in Australia are in their territory

Afl tv ratings in nsw and qld have collapsed from their boom times

The sport has been over saturated in nsw and qld and largely been rejected

The real hope is the afl are so desperate to make gws a strong team that it ends up splitting support for the swans

Gold Coast has two of the best schools in the country for league players

And actual juniors not Auskick bs

Dolphins in terms of crowds and members aren’t far off the lions and the lions have been around forever

Lucky gillon McLaughlin left his job and didn’t have to hang around to justify his bs claims

like when nrl regional data is missing?
Exactly

Or when they didn’t count Telstra digital numbers

He was posting for years nine ratings were down and pay tv ratings were flat

He was sure of it

Then they released the Telstra digital numbers are turns out pay numbers were up strongly

He’s always quick to make excuses for poor afl numbers but happy to draw negative conclusions about rugby league from an incomplete data set
