He has become such an excellent defender. He doesn't get that sort of early ball but he comes up with some crucial plays throughout the match. Great yardage as well. Going to miss him but De Courcey looked like a physical specimen. Can see why we aren't urgently resigning Gagai.

I would say so too if we didn't need Lucas to fill in at centre already too. De Courcey surely isn't the answer, and I'm not sure about our other options either.

Other teams cop it too, but they tend to take turns year to year and have peaks and troughs. Feels like we're just 100% troughs.

Having said that I actually recall last year may have been as close to a peak as we get... and were actually one of the luckier teams injury wise - we just sucked and gave up on the coach too.
