Not even a real Bulldog would drink to that new emblem/logo

Yep the decision to go with an American Bulldog over the English one. I hate it and won't be buying anything with it on it. They will come to there senses at some point. That said they stuck with the Super League Bulldogs for way too long.

I don't even understand the reasonings they provided how they got to it. Like one of them is that the "Core Features being redrawn with a more proud and determined look". Like what bullshit is that.

There was no push to update the logo again when it was perfect.

What is the "Super League Bulldogs"?

Every Super League club just used the S in their own club colours.

If you mean the logo we had 1998-09, I don't think this is a Super League logo, just a new design in the late 90s, presumably out of necessity.

I like the 2026 one better than it, but it's still not vibing with me just yet.

We definitely should have used the 2025 one just without the year ribbons.

Here is the designer's post on LinkedIn explaining his process if anyone is interested

I've met Aaron, he's definitely a die-hard Bulldogs fan. For me personally, I preferred what they previously had.
It's good to see rusted on fans getting a run at the logos, while still being of a decent quality. Penrith had the same idea, but it falls short on execution. The new dogs logo is better drawn than anything I've ever come up with, and ties in a number of past elements - there really not too much going against it from a technical perspective.

It still kind of falls in the uncanny valley between a logo and stock artwork, however - take the CB monogram away and you could picture it being used for the Western Bulldogs, or an E-sports team, or as the emoji logo for LU's game previews. A lot of US sports suffer with this and increasingly Australian sports are now as well - AFL leading the way over the last 10+ years and the NRL more recently going down this route.

In defence of the new logo, its nowhere near as stripped down as other recent efforts - Storm, Raiders, Knights, Sea-Eagles, Tigers, Titans - but looks to still scale really well with digital applications. The complete change just feels more jarring than most others recently, this will probably moderate somewhat with familiarity.

Change from English bulldog aside, throwing a shield behind the head and including a wordmark adds a bit more of a league feel to the identity, and provides more continuity with the logo used until last year. The standalone head would still work well for plenty of off-field applications.

Yes, that looks a lot better
I don’t have a major problem with the design of the logo per se
I just think it wasn’t complete and having it on a shield or badge was the missing piece

I think that's one of my main viewpoints on it: the logo's main colours are grey, white, and black. I feel like the logo could have gone mostly white and blue with a touch of grey.

I say this as a critic of my Knights and the current logo, which only features blue on it when it's on a white background. Otherwise, it's white, black, and red. I feel they could replace the black with a dark blue and it'd have the same look from a distance, but would actually be red and blue. But I digress...

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are proud to announce the introduction of a refreshed Club logo, to be officially adopted from November 1.

The new emblem represents a proud evolution of the Bulldogs’ identity - honouring more than 90 years of heritage while looking boldly to the future with eyes forward.

Bulldogs Chief Executive Officer Aaron Warburton said the redesign process was guided by a commitment to ensuring the Club’s visual identity continues to reflect the passion and pride of the Bulldogs family.

“This new emblem is more than just a logo – it reflects who we are, where we’ve come from, and where we’re going. It carries forward the fighting spirit that has defined this Club since 1935, while facing the future head-on with confidence and pride,” Warburton said.

We’re incredibly proud of the design and believe it strikes the right balance between paying tribute to our 90-year legacy and capturing the energy, ambition and unity that will define our future.

The refreshed logo - redrawn with a modern, digital-first approach - also draws inspiration from key elements of the Club’s visual history, woven together to create an identity that is both familiar and unmistakably built for what’s next.

The new emblem will begin rolling out across all Bulldogs platforms, merchandise, and communications in line with the launch of the 2026 season on November 1.

The Bulldogs look forward to embracing this exciting new era - and new look that represents it - with pride, unity, and the unwavering spirit that defines the Blue and White.

Forged from 90 years of history, facing forward to the future - this is who we are. A new look, same heart. Built for what’s next.

I didn't like it at first but once I allow myself to accept that it just follows the "simpler" logo approach of teams lately, I don't hate it.
Be interested to see it in-person, it may hold up.

Indeed. If I remember correctly, one of the un-litigated parts of the SL war was over club names, playing strips and club logos. SL decided to not use many of them (e.g. club logos).

Yep - and as I understand it's why many clubs had rebranded logos between 1998-2000ish.
