I dont dislike the Broncos jersey its not a bad colour and good design. The logo is a bit meh but otherwise good. There's been criticism that they've taken "Broncos" off and left Brisbane on their, compared to other clubs who take off their location and leave their nickname or removed both.

Really doubling down on the “we are the only Brisbane team” thing

Interestingly the bronx CEO Dave Donaghy said in the press conference for the brand release that the first time they will get to wear the navy jersey is against the storm away. Not sure that's going to work buddy!
I bet that’s when they wear the rumoured 2006 alternate jersey, given they beat Melbourne in that grand final too.

Love to see it. Dolphins coming in has really kicked the Broncos into gear and it’s benefitted the game (and both clubs) as a whole
Would the Broncos flip a lid if the Dolphins just went ahead and called themselves the Brisbane Dolphins (as they should)?

To be fair, I would rather the current Knights logo say 'Newcastle' instead of 'Knights' if they could only have one or the other.
We can see that they are knights by the emblem. I know I'm old-fashioned, but I like clubs representing their people and not just franchises. The Brisbane Broncos should represent Brisbane. If their new logo could only have one word on it, I'm glad it's 'Brisbane' and not 'Broncos'.

Would've preferred the secondary bucking bronco logo as the main logo, interested to see how they utilise the other graphics otherwise...

Exactly my thoughts, that buckin Bronco is pretty nice tbh. And sortve along the lines of the Panthers, Dolphins and Rabbits logos. Really not a fan of this change.

Ohh that would ignite the rivalry even more, haha good stuff. The first game in 2026 should be interesting

Thing is the home team gets to decide which jersey to use. If the Storm use its home jersey, then the NRL will force the Broncos to not wear that navy design. Broncos don't get much choice on that frame. That's been NRL operating procedure for over a 15 years.

Yeah, my first thought on it too.

A clear point of difference with the new guys, who are reluctant to use ANY geographical identifier.
Kind of annoys me. The other code leans into the geographic identifiers much more than the mascots and I think it's a lead we should take as a code. I don't like the Phins and Wahs not having geographical locators in their official names

And it was terrible in Super Rugby when the Saffa teams went that way. You had no idea of where any of those teams came from and eventually they reverted and put regional identification back in front.

I think the Wahs will change if we get a second NZ team. While I'm not sure why the Dolphins are digging in with just going with the Dolphins. Pick Moreton Bay (my preferance due to how large moreton bay is, it's from Southport -GC all the way up plus is the north brisbane regional council area) or Redcliffe or Sunshine Coast and own it.

The Dolphins excuse is "everybody knows where we are" but then you have people who arent really NRL fans but taking some interest have to ask where the hell they are. Its stupid.

Cronulla and Canterbury tried it when they were called "The Sharks" and "The Bulldogs", so glad they reverted back to Cronulla-Sutherland and Canterbury-Bankstown.

It’s common knowledge in Moerton council circles that when negotiations for certain things in the lead up to the dolphins being announced, the council was told by the dolphins the name would contain Moreton or some variation of it in their name. There’s still a lot of pissed off people about that lie.

Both of the Sharks and Dogs also tried to go Sydney. We won the comp in 95 as the Sydney Bulldogs. It was a strange period.

I don't recall Sharks doing that.

In 1995 if memory serves three clubs switched to Sydney in a vain attempt to boost profile - Balmain (Sydney Tigers) Canterbury (Sydney Bulldogs) and Easts (Sydney City Roosters). I'm not sure Cronulla ever did it. Or do you mean they moved games to the SFS?
