With Hopgood suffering an ACL injury ruling him out for the season yesterday, I suspect Couchman will be looking at suspension somehow.

LOL. A fine, and 8 point try, I can cop. A charge for that is outrageous and 100% playing the man (whether he deserves it or not).

To be fair he gets away with late contact after a try is scored nearly every game. About time he gets called out on this rubbish. That said the incident in isolation is not worthy of a charge

They will give him the maximum ammount a guy can get for that tackle.

We see those tackles all of the time but the NRL absolutely make decisions based on the injury. If Hopgood gets up and is all sweet, nothing happens.

And being a player from one of the unfavoured clubs the NRL will probably find a reason to add a few additional weeks onto the normal maximum as well

It was a genuine hip drop. Maybe not the worst one we've seen but it wasn't one where the just penalise bad luck for falling on legs.

But I still very much don't like the practice of topping up a ban because the conduct hurt someone.
