Because as we have seen with all the news of wildcard weekend, all the AFL cares about is money. Not tribalism or history like the NRL celebrates.

No thanks, I have no interest watching AFL being played at the same home ground as 10 other teams as there will be a game of Rugby League being played. You know, the sport that if you're on this forum, you should be a fan of.

Norwood and Barossa are not regular stadia, they are used for a one-off theme round. Similar to how the NRL plays games at places like Bathurst and Mudgee.

How embarrassing then for the VFL when the next nrl media rights deal is bigger than the fumble one, even though we play games at shithole stadiums.

Id rather have games played in a diverse group of stadiums than playing half of all games at one stadium like VFL

Not like we have new teams, record revenue, record ratings, record crowds, magic round, opening round in Vegas or anything..
They talk like we're on the cusp of entering a new country in the comp, or going fully national with WA.. certainly not on the cusp of a record TV rights deal or anything as serious as purchasing an operating stake in SL and making the game global.
