Yet only 15k of them could be bothered going to Accor Stadium last night to see two local teams play? Some "fans".
Yep. NRL doesn't have the cult like attendance culture that the AFL has (which I will admit is amazing). Most Sydneysiders prefer to sit and watch in the comfort of their homes. This is slowly starting to change with increased attendances over the last few years.

TV ratings show there are more fans watching NRL every week compared to AFL. And this gap is going to become a hell of a lot bigger over the next decade.

You take every chance to belittle and undermine anything rugby league
I'm mainly just playing devil's advocate for the AFL because most of you guys are so biased to the point of ignorance. At least The Wookie and Perth Red can see more than one perspective and contribute reasonable discourse. I do love both AFL and NRL, I don't like them always trying to one up each other.

You're in a Rugby League forum. Of course it's going to be biased. The same thing happens in an AFL forum, or a Soccer one.

The sooner you come to grips with that and stop taking attacks on AFL so personal, the more fun you might have on here.

If true, that sounds a little sad.

It only works because people get wound up far too easily and keep responding to the garbage.

How is it that the AFL for years have been able to get FTA broadcasters to cover extra games for specific markets (e.g. Sydney) and broadcast them there? And why can't we get that arrangement for the likes of Melbourne and soon to come Perth?

It's been a key part of the current and previous AFL broadcast deals that all games played by the SA, WA, QLD and NSW teams are broadcast on FTA into their home markets. These are usually live but games played on Saturdays in the first 10 rounds are delayed by up to 2 hours due to Foxtel's exclusive Super Saturday.
It's not always "extra games," as if there is a timeslot clash the local team will take precedence and replace the other game on FTA in that market.

And why can't we get that arrangement for the likes of Melbourne and soon to come Perth?
You can, the NRL just has to request it when negotiating with the broadcasters.

They take it further then that , WA & SA... traditional markets ... til recently got all their games covered free too & , to fumbleballs detriment , became entitled thinking they have the right to always watch their team for free !!
we don't want that ofc & its one of the reasons we have significantly more subscribers then their bumbling clown show, STV is where the $ are & we want them paying top $ because none of our clubs are off limits to them.

perthwrongs is literally wrong on just about every topic he chimes in on.
literally so many articles, reports, journals, information, data available on the internet which only needs 5 seconds search in google (with right wording in search bar) proves almost all his takes on this forum as wrong lol.. so by proxy, you are also wrong for believing posts by a fraud as a opposed to doing your own research.

imagine that, the power of a super computer with access to almost infinite & unlimited knowledge at the palm of your hand and dumbos like you and him have no idea how to utilise it. lol

ENGIE Stadium AFL attendance figures are verified by an independent auditor. I trust you have peer-reviewed evidence for your serious allegations that crowds have been fraudulently reported?
