Using a 4 conference division system of 6 teams.

conference A

Brisbane broncos

Brisbane tigers(relocation of the balmain tigers)

North Queensland cowboys

Gold Coast titans

Dolphins

samurais(based out of Japan)

Conference B

central coast sea eagles(relocation of manly)

newcastle knights

north Sydney bears

sydney Roosters

south Sydney Rabbitohs

St. George dragons

Conference C

parramatta eels

penrith panthers

western magpies

canterbury bulldogs

Illawarra Steelers

Canberra raiders

Conference D

Auckland warriors

Christchurch/South Island bulls

melbourne storm

adelaide rams

perth sharks(relocation of cronulla)

cape town pride/South Africa pride

Top 2 teams from each conference qualify for finals rugby in a straight knockout style competition of 8.

quarter finals then semi finals then the final.

Ok, I’ll bite. You have one three conferences that stay in their own state but one conference that stretches from Auckland to Cape Town. There’s already a Sydney bias now
Can’t please everybody unfortunately.

cross divisonal games would see Sydney teams also travel.

I’ll have a go on the off chance I find it and laugh at myself in 20 years if LU still exists.

If we ever get to 24 my prediction is the current 17 with maybe some slight changes like a club adopting Central Coast. These 7 roughly in this order.

18 - WA Reds
19 - South Island Bears (Christchurch)
20 - PNG Hunters
21 - West Brisbane Hornets (The jet type)
22 - Adelaide Rams
23 - Wellington Orcas
24 - Fiji Silktails

Other possibles - Auckland 2, Central Coast, Central QLD, Melbourne 2 or some wildcard Toronto Wolfpack shit somewhere like Asia or Hawaii. I feel like PNG and maybe Fiji might be made to happen eventually regardless of how viable I think they would be.

Would be hilarious if there’s still arguments surrounding the benefits of a Perth based NRL team and the bears shopping themselves to Hawaii.
