I don't mean to put a dampener on things by what the hell is going on down there in Sydney??? Hindy breaks and all time record for Parra and this is the crowd that gets pulled for a stadium holding 80'000!!

What benefit is there holding a game at homebush when Parra stadium could have been sold out just as easily and would have been more Parra fans. Not sure about any of you but I have been extremely anxious about seeing Hindmarsh break this record regardless of how we have been going.

Guarantee up here in Brissy if there was a momentus game for a Bronco there would be no less than 35k to the game. Correct me if I'm wrong but were'nt all Parra members allowed in for free? How many actually paid to watch the game?
Sorry but great to see the team win but I believe Hindy deserved a bigger crowd than that.

Agreed atmosphere would of been better at parra, but everytime we have a big game at parra and the talk is it will be a sell out it only gets to around19 20k. I think it was a healthy crowd considering no trains (you would be surprised how much that hurts crowd figures) all in all happy with the crowd.

It was a Parra home game, so (ticketed) members did get in... but as part of their membership, not for free.

There was a healthy contingent of Bunnies fans in the Burrow (or whatever they're called) plus ANZ Stadium members in their area. Probably would only have been about 15-18K Parra fans there?

No trains running to Olympic Park station would have been a limiting factor to the crowd. I know my old man (a STH) was one that couldn't make it down due to timings.

Having said that, I thought it was a good crowd turn out considering how sh*t we've been going this season....

Would have gotten more than if it was at Parramatta, but short of a multi level stand at the Pool and Leagues club end, nothing will change the max capacity there.

Too true, didn't know about the trains.

May as well delete this thread now.
Nah, it's a valid thread/opinion.

Considering some people here and in the media were saying we should have moved the Round 1 home game to Homebush to get a 50K crowd, I think the figure today shows some realism.

Would have been there, how ever a small matter of being rostered to work put the kybosh on that idea (can't really afford to knock back Sunday penalty rates), that said have some days off next week so heading up to Townsville :)

Was there mate.
But no trains to the ground was well publised and would of turned a few off. Taking it to parra would of brought about 18 19k.
we won the game and it was a healthy crowd, great day
