The Gold Coast today beat Cronulla 20-10 whereas we beat Cronulla 56-10 last week. The GC are assured a home final so the pressure is off them. We can definately win next week.

We just have to beat the Dogs the week after. Very possible.

Depends if the eels win from here on in.. If the dragons beat them in the last round, then we will get in...if we win the remaining 2 games that is..

I'd prefer if we came 10th instead of 8th and got smashed first week of the finals. Though, if we came sixth thats another story.

i'd like our chances over 1st & 2nd more than 3rd or 4th.

Titans away or Melbourne away i believe are too dificult with travel and no support.

Bulldogs or dragons anywhere in Sydney and we we're a good chance, witha fit team offcourse.

There's no way 28 points will get us in. We need 30, and even then there are no guarantees.

If you want to know our realistic chances of making the 8, then have a look at the betting markets. We are currently paying around $5-$6 to make the 8.. after we were just $1.70 this time last week. In other words, we are GONE for the season.

If we beat the Titans we rocket back into contention. Manly went from 10th to 5th in one day so we can surely follow suit. Though if we lose then it's all over.

I think we will need to win both games. 30 points has to be enough with a positive points differential.

And if we lose this week Shines will blame the team for getting the jitters come end of season again. If we dont win another game we would still have won something like 7 out of 10 games to get us close ,which is still a good effort in my book. If that same ratio was there all year we would easily be 34 points or more. I would love to hear this wanker say i should have made changes far earlier in the season and we wouldnt have had to play live or die football for the last 10 rounds to try make the 8. Anyway there is still hope , hope we can do it
