AUSTRALIA:
Ricky Ponting (capt), Matthew Hayden, Simon Katich, Mike Hussey, Michael Clarke, Andrew Symonds, Brad Haddin, Brett Lee, Mitchell Johnson, Stuart Clark, Jason Krejza, Peter Siddle (12th man to be named)

Starting XI :
Matthew Hayden, Simon Katich, Ricky Ponting (c), Michael Hussey, Michael Clarke, Andrew Symonds, Brad Haddin, Brett Lee, Mitchell Johnson, Nathan Hauritz, Stuart Clark

NEW ZEALAND
Starting XI:
Jamie How, Aaron Redmond, Jesse Ryder, Ross Taylor, Peter Fulton, Daniel Flynn, Brendon McCullum, Daniel Vettori, Tim Southee, Iain O'Brien, Chris Martin

All pre-match discussion in here. For mine, Krejza in, Watson out for the Aussies. New Zealand will probably name the same side, although Mills would be a chance of a recall.

LOL ... kyle mills would barely make the NSW second XI

now that we've broken the familiarity of slow wickets we'll tear away in adelaide ...

krejza to play the last of his test matches and duddles watson dropped out of the 12 all together

definitely need a spinner in Adelaide

Watson to carry the drinks

I also think this will give us a better look at just how good Southee is, as this wicket will not assist him as much as the Gabba did.

I'd have the teams as follows;
Australia: Hayden, Katich, Ponting, Hussey, Clarke, Symonds, Haddin, Johnson, Lee, Krejza, Clark.

New Zealand: How, Redmond, Taylor, Fulton, Ryder, Flynn, McCullum, Vettori, Southee, O'Brien, Martin.

For mine that NZ side has better balance in the batting order, mixing aggression with grit and strokeplay. NZ bowlers did a pretty good job on a helpful wicket. Watson is the player to be dropped after a lackluster match with the bat.

If Haddin can't score any runs at Adelaide, our version of an Indian wicket complete with short square-of-the-wicket boundaries then surely he must be comming close to a tap on the shoulder.

Watson has been dropped for the test and rightfully so IMO.. I am sure he will be back soon if he stays injury free though. Peter Siddle has been called into the 12 man squad..

Sunshine has an appaling record in 8 tests now, either batsman or bowler take your pick, he doesnt do either any good in test cricket

we cant keep holding his hand till he does something
