The pitch is an absolute highway. THat has to be playing on Smiths mind about the follow on. Its the flattest adelaide oval in years.

Well at this rate he won't get a choice anyway...these two are being very annoying

This has just been dumb bowling.

Woakes averages 35 with the bat in first class cricket. He's not comfortable against extreme pace, but once he's in you have to treat him like a batsman. Starc and Cummins are just trying to kill him, which won't work.

Follow on is dead now imo, even if we get a quick 3 wickets.
Bowled too short for too long.

I love the comments about bowling short being the sole reason these two are still there. It's a legit tactic on flat decks. The ball is doing nothing. Overton has looked terrified of the short ball, but these two have actually applied themselves to surviving and had a bit of luck with balls popping into space on the leg side.

That's the difference.

These commentators are f**king useless.

Warne banging on about rushing Mark Wood back in for extra pace.

Meanwhile on the ABC Aggers and Rogers spent twenty minutes talking about how Wood is no longer express due to injuries.

Anyone with a bat in their hand is susceptible to quality "top of off" bowling.
I can cop a short barrage, but not as a starting point. That should be a fallback tactic.
