Pink ball test starts Thursday 3pm

We could have one or two casualties? The extra day and a half rest and rehab may help

Poms will most likely bring in Broad and Anderson. Maybe turf Burns, though no one screaming to be picked from their Eng A side

Starc generally does well in this test. Need a big one from him, especially if Haze possibly out?

If Haze is out, gotta bring Neser in. I think Neser would go well, not as well as a fully fit Haze, but with the series the way it is would prefer Haze available for the rest if he's not good to go by Thursday.

England surely bringing back Broad and Anderson, Leach probably out. Who else? Could really they drop the worlds greatest 8? Or will it be either Wood or Robinson missing out? We'll find out soon enough.

Richardson over Neser, better bowling stats across the board. They’re quite similar bowlers as well.

If Warner is out you pretty much have to go Khawaja I guess. Only concern is Usman hasn’t opened much in recent years. Hunt the other option.

I‘d go with Richardson if Hazlewood cant back up. He’s clearly the next best, been on fire this summer as well.

To me if Starc doesn’t perform this test match that’s it, I’d drop him. Probably best to rest him even if he does go okay.

Why? He scored 11 and 5 in the tour match. He isn’t up to it. That’s the reason he isn’t in the test team.

Well, I try not to judge off matches in isolation. Khawaja has been in good form and he’s played well as an opener in the past.

The alternative is putting a rookie like Hunt or Street with a struggling Harris. I’m not a fan of that option.

Broad and Anderson under lights should hopefully make this a contest.

Just a question of which side has less derp in them against a moving ball.

Unchanged line up baring injury..

If Hazelwood is injured Jihyehiuei to come in. And if Jihyehiuei does well and Starc doesn't then it makes for an easier transition when Hazelwood comes back.

If Warner is out then it has to be Khawaja. Same deal, if Harris fails Khawaja stays in when Davey comes back.

Just on JJ's mate, he seems to be getting injured a fair bit these days.

What a brilliant start to the series. We maintain our Fortress Brisbane domination against the old enemy.

Now over to Adelaide where we have never lost a Pink Test. We may well loose the destroyer in our last match there.. Josh Hazlewood with his phenomenal 5/8 that embarrassed India to the tune of 39 all out.
If JH is out then you'd have to say Michael Neser deserves his debut but given that the pinkie swings under lites in Adelaide Jhye Richardson gets my vote. Reckon he'd be a sensation after dusk.

Khawaja doesn’t move his feet. His technique is questionable at best. Not up to test standard.

I‘m definitely aware of his flaws, but the thing is we don’t have many great options. I mean, that’s why Harris is in the team. Hunt looks promising, hopefully he continues to improve.

Neser is a swing bowler, too. Quite similar to Richardson.

He still averages something around @50 in home Tests. A questionable technique applies to not only Uzzie in this present Aussie side. Thank goodness the next gen can claim more solid techniques.
