I think there's a fair bit to that actually.
He has offered penetration in his first and last spells.
He also combines well with Bracken. They are both weapons in the batting power play.
No doubt he has struggled in his middle spells but has been our best bowler behind Bracken.
Hilfy is bowling poorly. Yes he is a genuine outswing bowler but he bowls far far too short a length.
I have never seen an outswing bowler produce less nicks behind, or less play and misses.
And sorry Locky, but an outswing bowler in England will a good proportion of his wickets with the offcutter or one that does on straight. Hilfy looks far too one dimensional at present. He only has the outswinger and the bouncer and his outswinger is not threatening anyone.
