I dont blame him. It's like they brought him with full knowledge he wouldnt play a game which could only have shattered his confidence.

Not only that, but watching everyone else get a game, id be requesting to go back home tbh..

Well going home early won't do him any good either.

He might as well have stuck around, put in some hard yards in the nets and any tour game he gets and push for a place in the team. Running off just means he can be safely ignored now.

From all reports sending him home was for his own good. He has the yips and is that bad they wouldn't even send out a batsman in the net with him. He was only bowling at a stump, his action has basically disintegrated. Sad news he looked a promising bowler.

If England had seriously hoped Finn was going to fire this tour and get his line right they would have been better selecting him in their development squad, that toured Australia in November and December.

He would have played a few matches with Bresnan, Buttler and Robson and maybe got his line right. Rather than waste his time in the nets taking up a place in England's squad that could have gone to some else like Graham Onions, who was in form and could have played test cricket ahead of Rankin and Bresnan.

Spot on he was mess when he first came out here and his place should have gone to someone that would press for test selection.

Smacks of poor player management yet again, if he was really this bad he shouldn't even be on tour as mentioned by others.

I do find it interesting that a full time cricketer who is constantly bowling all year can technically completely fall apart. We saw Harmy totally butcher is run up somehow in the 02/03 Ashes.

I heard Watson will be rested for this game. So Marsh will likely come in.

Johnson will definately come back in the team but for who?

Just read Christian will play the next 3, has been in decent T20 form but shield form was rubbish so wouldn't think they were looking at him with prospects for the saffas tour.
Faulkner is miles ahead.

Ordinary 50 over bowler. Would rather not play Lyon!

He's also been pretty reasonable in the Big Bash games I've seen him play, Doherty isn't exactly setting the world on fire at present.

England won the toss and batting with an unchanged XI.

Johnson and Marsh in for Watson and Doherty for us.

Can't believe England didn't bring in Carberry as he's a naturally attacking batsman, and have again opted to go in without a spinner. Doesn't make a lot of sense. But they haven't made much sense all tour really.

Does this mean that The Big Show is going to need to bowl a full 10 overs? Is there any toys that this boy doesn't have?
