The Windies definitely threw that game away after Sunil Narine hit 4 sixes in a row. There was no need to do any more wild swinging of the bat. The Windies could've strolled comfortably home needing about 58 from 74 balls with 2 wickets in hand, and could've just aimed at scoring ones and twos taking very little risk.

The fact they got bowled out with more than 11 overs to go shows that common sense didn't prevail in their batting.

As if the West Indies couldn't offer it enough on a sliver platter they hand out a run out. A continual reminder of why this team are the biggest underachievers around.

Great game from Maxwell, can someone please call Invalid and get this guy a baggy green? Perhaps even the captaincy, I see him being a really good player for years to come, the next Cameron White imo

More people in Perth went to see the basketball (the NBL) than watching the legendary and might of the Australian cricket team build its legacy with Starc FFS!

NBL (third string basketball competition) 11500 > the Starc and Bailey show 11000

Mind you, you cant blame the Perth folk, the hot Mediterranean conditions reminiscent of the Islamic world takes the punters indoors to an airconditioned venue
