Ponting was such a great player 4-5 years ago, our best batsman in decades.

It just feels wrong to see him struggling it out through what is surely his last 1 day innnings.

On the other hand I really don't want him to get a huge score because you just know that if that happens he'll be playing on for another 18 months.

I agree, it is the big games where you need to stand up, so far Watson didn't although he can make it up with the ball perhaps.
