well, we can still draw the series :sarcasm:
What doesnt make sense was the scheduling
Why did they play the 4th ODI in Sydney
Send them down to Hobart to play the 5th ODI
THEN->
Go back to Sydney to play a mickey mouse T20, what was the bloody point of playing the game in Hobart for?
And then go to Melbourne to play a mickey mouse t20
The only thing that made sense out of all that is The T20 on Jan 26, we're all too drunk to pay attention/ care
I think the best Aussie T20 team is
They are plaing the first two ODI Vs WI in Perth![]()
Pick the bloke who has the 4th highest T20 average in history.
That doesnt make any sense either, exactly what spiritual connection/ significance is there for the west indies to play in Perth anyway?
The Perthites were more than happy/ ignorant to have the big bash final. they dont need anything else over there
I think the best Aussie T20 team is
Warner
Pomersbach
Hughes
Wade
DHussey
Burns
Christian
Cutting
Starc
O'Keefe
McDermott
Who cares about average in 20/20? It's about S/R.
I do think Hughes should be in the side. IMO sides should forget about all rounders in this format, unless they are genuine like Angelo Matthews or Keiron Pollard. Pick 5 specialists bowlers 5 batsmen and a keeper. If one or two of the batsmen can bowl a bit then well and good but bits and pieces players in this format get found out.
Hussey is a batsmen who can bowl a bit. If one of your 5 goes for a few you bring him on for a couple.
Look at SL with Malinga and Mendis. They are limited overs specialists and bowl accordingly and rarely ever get belted.
You pick 5 specialist bowlers who know how to bowl in specific overs.
You don't really need more than 6 batsmen (keeper included) in a 20 over innings. If you do you're probably going to lose.
