The only disappointing thing is a severe lack of Poms in this thread...amazing how quiet they get when they get thrashed!

What about that big crowd of Australians at Pirtek stadium supporting their team, the Western Sydney Wanderers and couldnt give a shit who Mitchell Johnson or David Warner or even James Anderson

How did it work again? the Effnicks plaid Fuppball and the Colonialists plaid Crackit right?

Armageddon.

It is surprising how lame the poms have been. It's like they've never faced fast bowling before. Johnson is bowling pretty damn quick but surely with so much experience in their batting line up they should be handling it better than this. I find it all a bit weird. Loving it though.

Agreed, anyone would think they have never faced a quick bowler before.

I've been thinking the same thing. They've come up against him many times in the past and all of a sudden they're scared of him.

Poms haven't come up against Johnson with McDermott as coach, I think that may be a big difference

Johnson is bowling a lot tighter and express, something the poms are just not used to from him. Vaughn mentioned Trotts weakness is he is not good at facing quality left arm pacemen. I dare say most of them arent

No doubt its a different Mitchell Johnson to the one that the poms have faced in the past. He has the control now which makes all the difference. And he's angry and getting revenge on the barmy army. So the bouncers are deadly and accurate and that's what's scaring the poms. But I'm still surprised they're handling it so badly. Surely they would have faced the likes of Morkel and Steyn, some of em probably old enough to have faced Shoaib and Lee. Shouldn't be that hard for em. Surprisingly soft.

Let's drop notch and put starc back in the team

Said every LU cricket fan bar me, because I wanted to see poms injured thinking it was our best chance

Impossible as Starc was injured, along with Pattinson, Bird and Cummins

So this was Johnsons last hurrah, considering the many other times he has let us down (were you happy to have Johnson in those sides as well eg 09 ashes).

All I can say is thank f**k McDermott is back, I reckon he has played a huge influence as well as Lehmann to an extent

Just be thankful Starc was injured- you just know these selectors love him for some reason. Honestly he is a pie thrower that can occasionally get a wicket. Should be forced to have 2-3 seasons of Shield cricket before he is back. He needs consistency. To be fair Mitch had the same issue, but Starc is just as bad as what Mitch was a few years ago.
