ALthough Hazlewood is just putting it in the slot today, Taylor just belting everything. Good aggressive cricket from the Kiwi's

Either Taylor needs to go for it, or Southee and Boult need to curb their enthusiasm. I think it'll likely be the former.

Haze has talent but he has a few flaws. Especially on a flat pitch. He angles the ball quite sharply into the right handed batsman and ends up too straight

He isnt even the worst bowler in the side tbh. Johnson is awful atm. The pitch is shameful though.

Definitely the worst bowler in International cricket :sarcasm:

Did someone say he was? He hasn't been nearly as consistent as he needs to be, and it's showing in his run rate. Starc was good in patches yesterday but there's no one to stem the tide of runs, and why Australia has gone from massive favourites to NZ now taking the lead.

It used to be Mark Craig (after 1 game)?so I assumed that Hazelwood or Johnson had taken over after this 1.

Johnson is bowling absolute trash. And he doesn't look like he cares.

Also it's good of the plodder Ross Taylor to hang around while Southee leads them to a match winning total.

Kidding. His problem IS his consistency. On a track that's about as lively as a seniors book club, consistency is tantamount to predictability. The batsmen know exactly what they're going to get because his usual weapon is movement off the seam and extra bounce....he'd basically have to take a jackhammer to this wicket to get either. He's bowled as well as the surface allows him to. Tough to stem the tide of runs on tarmac.

Small lead now - will be interesting if/when Taylor gets closer to 300 to see his attitude. Such a different circumstance to when BMac got his.

This is way more depressing for me personally than when england dicked us. I could admire broads spell. It was great cricket. This is just the worst. Shameful by the waca staff.

Totally different circumstances. McCullum could have batted forever as far as we were concerned.
