Plodder Ploddle out, Jackson Bird in according to CA app.

Hopefully Ferguson comes in for M Marsh or Voges, both are shit.

Fergo is a Dom Voges replacement according to what I read today as he has an injury.

Can anyone remember another test in recent memory that has produced as many injuries as this one?

Steyn
Siddle
Marsh
Voges

4 from one game and 3 from the same team seem pretty unlucky

So Ferguson is 32, not as old as I thought - but seriously S Marsh, Voges and Ferguson - 3 middle aged journeyman, the Australian system not producing much atm?

Add to that Khawaja is coming up 30... Warner is 30... wow
I think Kurtis Patterson deserves a chance soon.

Forecast not looking good for the first 3 days. A draw coming up, meaning Australia will have to win in Adelaide to draw the series.

If the Adelaide pitch is anything like it was in last year's day/night test with a mild green tinge (which, despite the media bitching last year, was nothing compared to the green-top at Hobart in 2011 vs New Zealand), Australia is definitely going to struggle against Philander and Rabada.

Well he has been good for us in the role he's played.

Age doesn't matter sometimes. Look at Misbah.

In answer to your question/statement I think Voges will retire soon.
He hasn't been good for us at all, he's scored runs against weak attacks on roads but when we have needed him and his so called experience he has failed miserably. We've wasted two years that could of been put into a younger bloke.

Typical clueless selectors, he shouldn't be retiring soon he should be dropped ASAP.

Agree 100%.

I vaguely recall the selectors waffling on about his selection in the 2015 Ashes series was because he had so much experience batting in English conditions and he did sweet FA in that series.
