Wow.

Is this Australia's worst ever test defeat?

It has LOTS of competition over the last 5 years but this is something else.

85. Opposition scores 320. You still lose by an innings and 80 odd runs.

Yeah, while they're aging and injury prone it does bear mentioning that this is RSA without their two best players

Feel a bit for Smith, I've always questioned his weird technique in moving conditions (and I maintain that is justified) - but he's showed grit, and wanted him to be 50 not out while the clowns around him thrashed at the ball willy nilly

Smith's a fighter and that's where he differs from the rest of the losers.

Like so many dismissals were created from being weak. two batsmen out caught in between leaving and playing a shot.

Smith is a fine player - then daylight... might even be that Starc is next, f**k Warner he's an ill-disciplined flat-track champion, who shows no situational awareness for test cricket - vice captain my arse. If they keep the Don on make him v/c

Woeful no fight no one values their wicket. The captain will go down as the worst captain of all time. No one understands their role.

Smith, then Hazlewood and then Starc (and Pattinson when he's fit once every 18 months).

The rest are diabolically bad.

Warner is OK but he is what he is and the campaign to make him captain is silly.

Australia has four test quality players Imo. Warner, Smith, Hazlewood and Starc.

Now England's turn around started on the back of four players so it's not all doom and gloom but this is a low point for sure.
