Philander's bowling on day 1 was key imo, but gee a few of them have contributed - obviously all three quicks, de Kock , Bavuma and Amla, but even the openers for batting a while and putting to bed the notion of them being bowled out for 100 too

Domingo is the coach - think Neil McKenzie looks after batting, and Langveldt the bowling?

You never hear about them, which is the way coaching staff should be. They should be backroom support. There is too much focus on Lehmann, he should be a secondary figure not a main focus. Give the team to the captain

Warner is OK but he is what he is and the campaign to make him captain is silly.

Australia has four test quality players Imo. Warner, Smith, Hazlewood and Starc.

Now England's turn around started on the back of four players so it's not all doom and gloom but this is a low point for sure.

Warner really is not a terribly good player in anything other than friendly conditions - and the occasional 50 off 50 balls is handy from a #7 but not an opener - so I think 3 world class players

I dunno if it's doom and gloom, the quicks certainly look great if Pattinson and Cummis can become contributors - but when you're bringing in Joe Burns, Sean Marsh, Callum Ferguson, Adam Voges and Mitch Marsh the top 6 outside of Smith is pretty ordinary... where are the young bats?

Just when you thought losing 10/86 was bad, we get bowled out for 85. Then you think it can't get worse, we lose 8/32. Awesome.
