tough one that one - fair enough as the umpire's call, no complaints either way

So hard to overturn a LBW after its been given. Bad luck for the youngster who looks very limited as a player, but he's willing to fight which is something the Windies need more of.

Yep

They're in bad shape if he's their second opener - as I posted earlier 1st class average of 25 and one century

I think the first thing the Windies need to do is fix the state of their pitches before anything else.

In commentary Taylor made the observation that Chandrika didn't look like a guy with natural timing and really pushed towards the ball. Surely this comes from being conditioned on WI pitches that are low, slow, and the batsmen have no choice but to generate their own pace off the bat. I doubt they get much practice with the pull and horizontal bat strokes on those pitches either.

Brathwaite's dismissal is probably a good example of the sort of shot you might get away with on low, slow pitches that's just stupid on bouncier pitches in Australia.

Windies are a mess at the moment, but they're getting little to no help from those in charge.

Surely Peter Plod must be put out to pasture after this test, even Marsh is bowling quicker then him.

WTF. Took an eternity and no ball tracking. These merkin umpires dont even know how to look at replays

Why should they get it back? It was still clearly an incorrect review from the replays even without ball tracking

Windies top order will regret doing all the hard work and not contributing more

At least we've seen some fight from them this time around.

That review looks bad on first glance

Yup, two very poor reviews, but might as well use them.

Personally I don't like the fielding captain being able to challenge LBW, and the batsmen should only be able to challenge whether they've hit it or not.

MMarsh has actually been one of our best bowlers on this pretty flat deck

The commentators would be ripping in to any other team over these shithouse reviews

They took the reviews in the 74-76 over mark. Blame the system that allows the reviews to be reset at the 80 over mark. If they don't get reset then Australia don't take either of them IMO.
