I think the first thing the Windies need to do is fix the state of their pitches before anything else.
In commentary Taylor made the observation that Chandrika didn't look like a guy with natural timing and really pushed towards the ball. Surely this comes from being conditioned on WI pitches that are low, slow, and the batsmen have no choice but to generate their own pace off the bat. I doubt they get much practice with the pull and horizontal bat strokes on those pitches either.
Brathwaite's dismissal is probably a good example of the sort of shot you might get away with on low, slow pitches that's just stupid on bouncier pitches in Australia.
Windies are a mess at the moment, but they're getting little to no help from those in charge.
