Poms easily and 2-0 series win

Anderson and Broad are in career best form, Australia wont win a test either

Guptill or Ronchi to replace Watling.

Bracewell to replace Martin.

Bat first. Only hope.

I like this New Zealand outfit despite that fourth innings fail, they were due after 3.5 tests of good cricket. I still think we have it in us to pull off an upset, although those chances are slim.

He's in career form. Stunning performance followed by 7 tests of shite. Im just glad he got it out of the way before the Ashes

Looks like Vettori will be back. Added bonus of bolstering out batting as well.

Looks like Vettori will come in for Martin and Latham is a possible debutant if Watling is unfit.

Vettori out, four seamers in.
If we somehow string together a decent score we're in with a real chance.

England have got to find a better opener than Nick Compton, hes pretty much sacrificial lamb for the upcoming Ashes series.

England needs two left handed openers, its the only formula for success, right handed openers are no use in cricket

New Zealand have always been weak at the top, because of right handers

Guptill scored one more run than I expected him to.

Seriously what is wrong with the NZ middle order?

A poor effort with the bat, no backing up for Trent Boult's earlier efforts with the ball

Even though he is a better batter than Chris Martin, Trent Boult does Mike Whitney proud with his efforts with the bat

Again the batsman kill us, very disappointing given how well we are doing with the ball.

Cricinfo said:
Their opening partnership was 55. Their last wicket partnership was 53. They made 174. Something is desperately wrong with these numbers.

That, more or less, sums it up.

Even allowing for a nuffy like Guptill - seriously, when is the red line going to put through this guys test career - and a toiler like Brownlie, there is enough talent in Williamson, Taylor and McCullum that this really should not have happened. Add to that one of the stronger tails in world cricket and it's even more laughable that the two sloggers in Wagner and Boult were left to add respectability.

They were playing Swann like it was day 5 in Galle and Murali was on.

We don't have anyone else.

Guptill was on a hiding to nothing playing his first test in a while and Rutherford, Fulton, Brownlie will always have 1 good day among 5 bad ones. You'll get these sorts of guys in and out of the Kiwi teams all the time.

Basically we have three quality players in Williamson Taylor and BMac, and if they all fail we're screwed. In favourable bowling conditions our only hope is one of them fires and the others muster enough runs around them.

Latham would have been a better option than Guptill. At least he's new. Guptill has proven over, and over, and over, and over, and over again that he's not up to it.
