Although I might sound like a fan, I don't think Doherty is a world beater. I just don't see anything in this series that suggests Doherty is worse than Lyon.

Lyon has had a long run and I felt he failed us in 3 tests in the last 6 months when we needed him. When it comes to Lyon people can't call it chopping and changing. He had an extended run and I reckon he came up too short too often.

I'm on board the Doherty era. And until he fails us 3 times in 6 months in crucial moments I won't think he's a worse option than Lyon.
