They got Warne in to impart his "wisdom" onto players that don't even bowl leg spin. Hayden is in the country, why couldn't they have got him in the nets as a lefthander to coach our left handed top order at playing well in India.

 That's GOLD.

Your wonder child then gets out the same way. One couldn't write this stuff!

Btw is that now:

40 balls 0 runs 2 wickets

for HAH vs spin?

Phil Hughes' last 39 balls against spin this series: . . w . . w . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . w . . . . . . . . w

Because they already have a batting coach?

Hughes spent all that time in the wilderness working on his (still imaginary) leg side game and forgets to learn how to play spin. F**ken useless merkin

I predicted that Hughes would be the leading run scorer of the series, now my prediction is that anytime he goes out to bat the opposition will put on their spinners. Yeah he fixed his game vs pace but did he forget that spin is part of cricket too? Because he has been dreadful so far. Either him or Cowan need to go for the next test and unless Cowan gets 60-100 runs this innings I reckon he should be it.

Hayden used it well in India but there is a proper technique to it which these guys cant play for some reason

Its all good to be Haydos and all

But if you cant sweep properly:->

Damien Martyn never swept at the ball in a fine series he had, when Australia actually beat India in India

The last time its going to happen for a while one thinks

That is the stuff of legend and will maybe go down alongside David Hookes 4 4's off Tony Greig in the Centenary Test Match.

I have a lot of time for Hughes, he'll be a weapon in England, but he should be sat down for the remainder of this series.

When India come to SA or AUS, their weakness is sort of excusable. They are not used to the pace and are slow to react to the length/bounce. But the ineptitude of Aussies over there on these slow pitches is more a sign of stupidity.

Haydos had a massive advantage over most when it came to playing the sweep in India..

And that is that he's massive..

He's such a big fella, with long arms,& he was able to actually get futher down the pitch than most to smother the spin..bringing the sweep into play..

England will suit his style a lot more. But you can't drop him because the rest of the top 4 have hardly been world beaters.
