I read on Cricinfo this evening that of the 29 innings Clarke has batted at 5 as captain, the score has been 3/34 or worse when he has come to the wicket on 15 occasions.

That is appalling and I would not be suprised to learn that it is the worst record in that same time among all nations.

Matt Hayden the know it all. He went alright in India. How about he get in the nets and coaches these blokes?

From memory the other side of the story about him learning to play the sweep in India was getting friendly with the umpires as to hold some sway in not getting given out lbw.

Hughes remains a long way from test class... one weakness covered up, another emerges...

Whilst your point is valid, Clarke has suffered from top order shyteness, I am sure some Bangladeshi or West Indian has had worse in the last ten years. Top tier perhaps not.

Hughes has been dissappointing, Warner also, Cowan is expected.

I do however see runs in Hughes. Warner will always be a match winner. But will fail too, very Gayle/Shewag. Worth it when others can produce.

Not sure what you all worried about, vice captain Watto is in, world class batsmen, just ask him. Misses bowling, as he would have taken 9 for 26, just ask him.

Further more, we always have trouble in India, this should not be forgotten, it is not new.

I really didn't want Maxwell to pick up some cheap wickets at the end, he's cemented himself now.
He and Doherty probably don't realise they still suck.

Based on the interview at the end of play, Maxwell has no idea just how shit he is.

Why what did he say?
The usual clichés of "feels great to turn the match for Australia" by the sounds of it.

Something about being the biggest thing to hit the subcontinent since that tsunami a few years back.

He said he bowled too many bad balls but ultimately thought he bowled pretty well and it shows with his 4 wickets. He also said they were supremely confident that if they just got 1 wicket, the rest of the Indians would collapse. He finished by saying something geniused like 'All we need now is 2 or 3 of our batsman to get big hundreds and we'll be right back in the contest'

Merkin.

He should've said "All we need to do is open with me like in that One Dayer and I'll have the game won by tea"

 The hate is hitting new levels. Poor bloke says what a fair chunk of others would've done and gets lambasted for it.

He talks himself up a lot among many 'experts' as being the best thing that happened to Australian cricket.

He deserves the hate.

'Ashwin is world class though' - Bunniesdouche

Except when he is playing against a top test team like England, then he is garbage.
