Go easy on The Dan... his accuracy tied up one end and he would have worked perfectly in tandem with our non-existent strike bowler (in Test cricket). Yes he was harmless but that's not really his fault.

And thats what Boult can do. A ripper to get rid of Broad. He's just go to stop the half volley on leg and the short wide goober.

I'm amazed McCullum isn't smart enough to work out if he has a third man, Prior's strike rate would drop by about 40.

Pretty much a disgrace that Buck Martin had to wait while Dave Patel and Todd Astle had a crack... I might even add Vetorri to that list... I'd like to see Martin on day 4 and 5 on a turning wicket

His bowling today has been outstanding imo...

I realise they're all tired, but for me Wagner's a bit of a myth...

Wagner can't do much on a pitch as unhelpful as this, all the seamers have been pedestrian.

Yep, but Southee has been unlucky I think, and as far as left arm pace bowlers go Boult>>>>>> Wagner

Guess it's just the BS hype around Wagner that's irritated me... lots of talk about how quick he is, and the wait for him to be available... he's not quick, and if Bracewell wasn't a clown I would't have him anywhere the team

Prior all class, game's getting away again... bring back Buck!!

brilliant, I suggest he's a myth and he takes a wicket and then a fine catch...

On the flipside I think Bracewell is the one who is overrated, he's done nothing after those Hobart heroics.

yes

The product placement in the Dilmah tea party, I don't mind...but these constant close ups of Doull drinking tea is nauseating.

nonetheless... Southee seems to have matured a lot, and Boult has talent... starting with those two we have a promising attack...

Martin's bowling today was a revalation for me, he really went after Pieterson (who wnet after him, too) - it was great cricket...

Whether the third pace bowler is Bracewell, Wagner or a TBA, we're in decent shape... what we need is someone in the top 6 who can bowl 10-12 overs of medium pace... obviously people will say Ryder, but regardless someome who can fill a spot like Astle, Coney, etc... the workload the three pace bowlers have had isn't sustainable for too long

Bad wickets from Fulton and Rutherford - both really poor pieces of batting.

If there's ever been an example video of 'fast bowler loses his head bowling short pies' its Steven Finn today. What a moron, barely had a delivery that would have hit the stumps until he threw up a half volley that Williamson spanked down the ground. One of the worst exhibitions of opening bowling I've seen in some times, what a waste of the new ball.

Taylor goes first ball. Tried to play it with the hands, no foot movement, poor poor batting.

Why is the draw paying $2.20? How's the weather forecast looking for the next few days?

Although an Aussie I'm a big fan of Finn but sometimes when I watch him I think he's going to go down the Ishant Sharma path rather than the Glenn McGrath path.
