Almost as bad as Kane in Australia.
Interesting...

Williamson in Australia - 7 tests. 2 centuries, average 42.8
Kohli in NZ - 4 tests, 1 century, average 36 and dropping with this test
Davey in NZ 2 tests, 0 centuries, average 13
Davey in England 13 tests, 0 centuries average 26
Hell, Davey away 39 tests, 5 centuries, average 33.2

Guess Kane and Virat need to put in some hard yards before they become Warner-esque...

Interesting

No counting chickens yet, but the Australian tour was an anomaly - flat out embarrassing, selectors and coaching need to be accountable

Interesting. I was referring to his last tour which seems to have slipped your mind completely now that your back on home turf.

Interesting.

Also interesting- your obsession with Davey.

Lol, you've won 11% of your away tests in the last 5 years, you can only win on your home decks.

All of a sudden Southee looks like Wasim Akram and Colin looks like Ian Botham whilst in Australia they looked like plod and plodder.

Lowest 4th innings total at Hagley was 236 by Sri Lanka a couple of years ago. Bumrah and Shami looked ominous yesterday, but I still think they need at least another 100 to be a chance.

The NZ team in Australia for the first 2 games was pretty much the same one that is playing now

not really.

Raval was playing despite horrendous form.

Santner was playing despite not being able to get any turn.

Ferguson was playing because there is no better time to experiment than in Australia.

More crucially, our key players did not fire.

That is what I was getting at
Hardly the fault of the selectors

Not entirely- but (for instance) we all saw Raval happening a mile away, which meant that (as JJ said) Williamson has effectively been opening. Yeah, he should have been up to it and he wasn't- but the Australian bowlers were bloody good, just quietly.

Santner over Patel was a bit weird.

Southee's non-selection in the 3rd Test was bizarre.
