88/6 is a little bit misleading considering one of them was Steyn but these late runs are indeed hurting us.

At 88/6, the wickets we needed were Boucher, Philander, Morkel and Tahir (or DeVilliers). 250 is disgraceful

Poor dude. I rate him, personally, but he's just looking like a muppet at the moment.

I was thinking the same. Wonder what the lowest first innings total for a team to win by an innings is?

I'm gonna go ahead and focus on the weekend of Rugby League ahead now.

Typical NZ performance.

There's two things you can count on with them.

1) Their batting innings will involve at least 1 clump of 3-4 wickets.
2) An inability to remove the tail after getting through the hard part.

Could almost set your watch to it.

Lets be honest here our batting lineup is almost the weakest in world cricket. It wouldn't be much better than Bangladesh's batting lineup.

Sorry I couldn't spend the first half of this test with you guys, I just moved to Queensland a couple of days ago and things have been a bit hectic.

This has been another competitive match which has been great to see. There has been good and bad from both sides, but I think SAfrica are on top at the moment.

There was also a lovely little cameo from my man Morne with the bat yesterday:ls:

And as I type this, Vernon gets one. Missed out on 5 again in the first innings, but it was great to see Steyn damaging after an ordinary first test by his standards

At Lunch on day 3 New Zealand are 142/6, lead by 74, Kane Williamson still going for New Zealand, currently on 77

Hopefully Williamson can press on and notch up a century (and the remaining 3 batsmen can stick with him long enough for that to happen). That's the only good that can come out the rest of this Test for NZ

Philander and Steyn is a 2 way battle for player of the match here. They've killed us.
