there has been a lot of average cricket in this match, but it has primed for a great finish. Fantastic work from these two boys to pull it back after a terrible start with the bat

They looked like being bowled out for sub 100. If Pakistan could add some fight to their game they'd be a much better team. Hopefully this is where it begins.

TBH, I've been impressed with the fight they've shown with the bat since Misbah has taken over the reigns. Their batting lineup all put a high price on their wicket and hopefully Azhar and Shafiq can put Pakistan into a winning position today. Sadly, they have a very long tail so these two must score heavily if they are to be competitive.

Good review by the Paki's..

5/162 now at drinks..Paki's lead by 92..

If they can get that lead to 250 odd we'll have a test match on our hands..

I think a lead of anything over 170 odd would give Pakistan a huge chance on this pitch. I have loved the fight back and I hope they can stay batting at least til tea

new ball removes Azhar Ali. Big wicket for England. Pakistan are leading by 100, but I think they need at least 70 more

Too bad he's pushing 40 and won't be there for a long haul but I do agree Misbah has been great

Pakistan were always talented but with the worst attitude and haven't had a real leader for a long time.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing England win here and make the third test a decider. But, I don't want to see England win by more than 2 or 3 wickets, so hopefully, regardless of the result, Pakistan can finish it with a bit of momentum

lunch on day 4 and no more damage has been done to Pakistan (I don't know why it is I have no recollection of Adnan Akmal's wicket falling). Pakistan lead by 128 with 3 wickets remaining in hand

Yeah pretty much. Hopefully for their sake he can hang around for maybe anouther 2 years because his batting has been great since being named captain.

not a good start at all for Pakistan after lunch. Still need another 50 odd runs to be able to challenge for this match, not sure if I can see them getting many more though

noooo, Junaid throws it away, he better make up for that by taking five for nought.

Pakistan all out for 214, leaves them with a lead of 144. Enough? I doubt it
