so, according to this rule, if someone has been bowled out, you still need to appeal for it in order for it to be a wicket under the laws of cricket

no

only where there is doubt, like caught or LBW, if a player is bowled there is no doubt so no appeal is necessary

Wish Pup would stop wasting his good form on starts. Would love for him to really go on with some of these starts. Glad we played 2 spinners tbh.

day 1 tea

Aust 3/132

pup to the rescue again, Sunshine could get a biggie here too

Groundhog day after the new ball has lost its shine, run rate very low. Not an ideal endorsment for test cricket. as intriguing and challenging as it is

As intriguing as these pitches may make the game,it makes it hard for me to stay awake..

Yeah unlike Watson who's conversion rate is outstanding :sarcasm:

Most madiens in a test?
I remember looking for maiden records last year and not finding much. I would attempt to compile some stats myself, but I just don't have the resources for that . This is why I need to work at Cricinfo. I just double checked (and got distracted by the book for about an hour) and the only maidens record in my Test Cricket Lists book is "Most Consecutive Maidens"

What I did discover whist looking through the book is that with a qualification of at least 100 test wickets, Brett Lee has the least economical career bowling figures
