Did anyone catch Adrian's call to Sports Sunday this morning? If so, did i hear correctly that he thought Jimmy and Tunks could be added to improve the Footy Show line up?

This thread is breaking me up, have to keep it going.
Last week some old bloke rang up and said that Arthur Beetson was NOT the first indigenous captain of Australia and proceeded to remind the panel that in the 1800's, an indigenous cricket team toured England, and that the captain of this team should be regarded as the first indigenous captain of Australia,this conversation went on for five minutes, God help!
They really should have a boring or couldn't care less meter on this show and went it reaches a certain level the call is terminated.

from what i understand TS used to be owned by sales-rep Mike Nui (brother of david). Trying to emulate the success of BSB on KY, He paid Carrallis for the block of airtime and space farmed it to advertisers. I think he went bust and 2SM sell their own airtime now. It would be like $20 a spot with a million freebies. it sounds like bad provincial, radio. But dont underestimate the callers, they are the stars. Fruitcakes, imberseals, drunks, rathcetjaws and zoobricks make wonderful listening. Unlike the turgid f**kwittedness of the hosts, the callers are three dimensional.

Almost every call would last 30 secs at least. When Kurt calls his phone number should trigger an alarm at the switchboard and be allowed to ring out.
Hughes likes to promote the fact that every caller gets a say, but he is pushing that too far.

I think Hughesy is being too generous especially with Adrian and his anti-Clarke rant...

Double A and Bass are probably the only ones who offer some good insights on the show

Yeah but at least Adrian calls about sport that is interesting. You have tossers like Clem who talk about his children, or how he hurt his back, or it is his birthday.....WHO CARES!!

You have Kurt who talks about horse racing in country areas or some horse that is a blue blood to something in NZ....WHO CARES!!!

Bass and Adrian are basically the only 2 callers i like listening to. Sure, Adrian likes to flog a dead horse with Clark, but it pisses Hughes, and Papworth off royally...and if you can achieve that then a big thumbs up to him.

Ill credit Adrian and his trolling ways on Talkin Sports though but I sometimes have to turn my volume down or change Radio stations when Adrian starts argueing with Hughes over things regarding Clark.

As soon as they said hi Phil I said to myself "hi Graeme tunksy and Gavin". It's how he starts every call. Then spoke about tennis being prompted by Graeme to hurry up. Then spoke about more tennis before saying ok gotta play touch footy now.

Same music, same intro's and outro's same traffic guy that occasionally doesnt actually say anything, same ads (patonga beach hotel, charlie and the petersham rls, old biatch and latin nightclub and the npl poker league) oh and same callers... adrian, kurt, clem, phil and chris.... fmd.
