I loved Packer's efforts in the first half, looked like he was really embracing taking on that big Dogs pack and he made a nice play for that try also.

I agree that he didn't do too much wrong in the second half, he wasn't bad as such but the impact from the first wasn't there.

Exactly. Which is where his fellow props need to step up and help out. Lillyman and Mats weren't too effective tonight imo. Thought Matulino would of risen to the occasion a bit more. Lillyman looked tiny compared to the Dogs forwards.

Still so gutted we could potentially be top 8 if games only went for 70 mins. But hey that's not the game we play. At least the effort is there.

Yes, I wanted to give TL a point but felt the need to give it to either Lowrie or Friend (the guys that just had to tackle bigger guys all night - both turned up in this regard).

TL's late grubber to Manu was just bounce of the ball stuff. Sits up right, Manu's in, points to Fai in the sky, and we're probably home happy.

As it was it bounced up in nasty fashion.

I don't recall Maloney having that little grubber to his game? And we know TL's a far better defender. Mute point now though, TL's who we've got and great to see him feeling at home more now.

I haven't given up, as pointed out, our next three games are highly winnable. That would give us 10 points, which wouldn't be too far out from eighth spot.

Johnson is effective in attack. I think he is learning his combination with TL is starting the grow.

Just his kicking game is rubbish. He kicked it down their throats all night. He was giving them cheap metres back all night. The plan (I guess) seemed to be to kick it high and chase in a straight line. But it didn't work. Would have been better to kick to space.

That bulldogs side, just monstered the warriors in the second half. Lillyman just got bashed.

Manu, the Fish, Benry and TL all played well.

Lowrie played OK and didn't give away 3-4 penalties this week.

Godinet was not good this week. He is struggling a bit.

Godint seems to have gone into his shell a bit since Friend came back. Or maybe his work isn't as obvious because he's not being subbed in for a back rower with no clue how to play hooker. Our attack was bloody awful with ET in the #9.

Just back from Wellington tonight. Firstly, that crowd was amazing. Well done Welly. Weather turned good too, it was outhouse earlier in the day. Krisnan Inu was on our flight in the same row and Jesse Ryder looks healthy and happy.
