HM Tuivasa-Sheck who's finally starting to look like a captain, Roache and Ayshford.
Gavet snuck ahead of Mannering because our pack was nowhere to be seen before he came on and started punching holes.

3 Roache - I've been very, very high on this fella for a while. Must keep (and play).
2 Maumalo - now he has a step, lol (+has stopped making lots of bad errors, plays like a winger etc)
1 Gavet - only a little bit of ill-discipline stops him getting more

hm. Mannering, Johnson, maybe RTS

Great play by Johnson around the 60 minute mark to kick long on the 4th tackle and force the Dogs to turn around. They were just starting to wrest some momentum and that play sucked the juice out of them. Graham knocked on not long after and we got another head of steam. Thought it was the turning point of the game.

Thought it was interesting that Fus took the left centre role, normally used to seeing him exclusively on the right. His catch and pass to set Ken away was a thing of beauty.

Roache justified his selection on the bench for a few more weeks to come, was brilliant.

SJ, really stepped up with Foran out, especially loved the way he threw himself in front of Klemmer.

Lastly want to mention Maumalo.. massive improvement from him. He was a liability at the start of the year and he's now one of the first picked, and one of our best performers. I guess it goes to show that some players need to be given a bit of a cuddle and shown some faith by the coach to come good. Looks like he finally feels comfortable in first grade. Not sure what it means for the Original Beast though, might find it tough to get back in the side.

Not all that excited about a 7 point win over a very, VERY average Dogs side at home. There were good points but still really disjointed stuff about it. The 70 mins we played with 13 v 13, we lost 14-13.

Disagree PW - that Dogs pack is a monster that nearly ate us up but we kept showing up and eventually they ran out of steam. Not saying we got dud calls but shit didn't go our way in 2nd half. Could easily have had a couple more tries on a different night.

disagree about maumalo being a liability at the start of the season. never was one. no one liked him and that just spread throught several forums

Yeah, I thought that about Vete too. Then I thought about what he had done in his 11 minutes on the field and thought this guy doesn't deserve a place. Afraid, at top level, he doesn't perform.
