3 - Barnett - Monster effort
2 - Clark - Ditto the above
1 - Vaimauga - thought that was his best game so far in FG

HM - CNK (would've got a point if he'd passed to DWZ), Egan, Metcalf, CHT, Leka

Second game in a row where we haven't scored a try in the second half. Felt the ref did his best to get the Drags back into it, though. We couldn't buy a 6-again in the second half, whereas the Dragons were getting a ton of borderline ones imo.

Good for Lukey Met to get a field goal under his belt!

3 - Barnett
2- Clark
1 - CNK

HM CHT, Halasima

Taupiki and Pompey held their own. Vaimauga's break out run near the end was crucial.

Q: I would have thought that with all the time DWZ has had off, he would have learned to catch. He looks like he's spent the time playing Volleyball instead!

03: Clark - Best signing value wise.
02: Barnett - Leads by work ethic.
01: Vaimauga - Best game for him.

HM: The whole team got on with it despite DWZ mistakes and other errors placing more pressure on us. We fought well and scrambled. This team is still not perfect but watch out when we do click. Winning ugly is now part of our DNA.

Hard one, not many stood out

3. Erin Clark. 177m, 51 tackles. Drug test this guy (or maybe don't)
2. Barnett. 188m, 47 tackles. Definition of a leader
1. Vaimauga. Tough.

We'll give him some grace period but DM to DWZ who made five errors (for perspective, apparently that's more than Manu v Eels in 07 and Kosi v Melbourne in 2022) and on another day, his opposite might have had a field day. But Kyle Flanagan isn't the guy to expose it

The pleasing thing about that game is that it is exactly the kind of game that we would typically lose. The Dragons made some fairly unforced errors in good field position, but still…credit to Webster and Metcalf and the team

3. Barnett - a big point of difference, when things got desperate Barnett was one of the key cogs
2. Clark - much like every week, we're winning the middle brawls off the back of these two guys
1. Capewell - seems like one of those players who needs a few games to find his rhythm

HM to CNK on his typical energiser bunny night, Metcalf for the clutch
I thought TMM brought a bit of spark
Vaimauga and Halasima play with cool heads to go with that raw ability, that's the biggest win for me

DWZ was exactly what's on the tin - not express speed, great finisher, crap defender.
Johnson used to unlock him big time, he might not have that luxury this year.

Toss up between Clark and Barnett. But i was more excited to see Clark back on after his spell than Barnett, so that was the deciding vote.
