3- CHT
2- DWZ
1- Clark

DMs to JFH, Leka and Ford for way too many errors. Lucky to get the 2 points but I’ll take it. Poor dragons though, those concussions killed them.

Fish is proving my suspicions right..he's cool with the cultural stuff but lazy with the footy..

Webby had a lot of muscle warming the bench when we needed them on the paddock..

HMs..TT..DWZ Niukore..

Very harsh on Fish. Has been great all year, especially as a leader, down game for sure but the pile on is a bit over the top. Looks like he has rushed himself back from that calf injury to help the team out, he's def carrying something.

Ford pile on is well deserved though.

He hasn’t been great all year at all though? For one he hasn’t even been available all year, and secondly his actual performances have been somewhere between meh and actively bad. Fully just seems like he gets away with playing as badly as he likes because of perceived mana.

Relief that we got the win is my main feeling today, particularly after the loss against the Dolphins.

03: RTS.
02: Clark.
01: TSS.

DM: Pompey, Fish, Ford and Webster.

The Ford, DWZ and Fish hate all comes down to Webster's coaching decisions. All these players are not being used correctly.

We got the points. I'm grateful.

Can't agree. I haven't looked at him this year and thought f**k he's actively bad in this team. Not once actually. I've thought he brings something different to what AFB did yes, not as many stats of course, but I haven't thought he's been a bad player.

It seems a weird take for mine, especially as you say, taking into account the whole year not just last night, but respect your opinion.

Fish has been playing okay considering he entered a new team and having to adjust to new style of team and coach.

I think this latest round was his worst game for us.

He's human and perhaps the occasion and late kick off threw him off.

I don't know if that's true in every case, but there's definitely something to that with regards to Ford.

He was bad last night. Really bad.

I don't think he's been good or bad this year. I think we had high expectations of him, based on his previous success and also the difference that AFB made to our side

Ford = Not a starter. Left on too long.

Fish = Benched too early and left on the pine too long. It's occurred in 3-4 games now.

DWZ = The barging shape we got going on is all coached. It works when the team is all firing, but its too high risk for my liking and it was effective with SJ in the team.

I just think Webster is still struggling without SJ in his system. It was starting to come right with Metcalf but injuries to him and Barnett offset that momentum.

Overall Webster will need to do better with his current players available as we are being found out big time. The quality of our team is down but we still can make a ripple in this season.

The great thing is we're doing better than most of us were expecting this year. Webster deserves some time to change it around for getting us this far.

Ford = Not a starter. Left on too long.

As I said elsewhere, the 'not a starter' thing is shorthand for saying 'he's not very good'. Like, Stowers Smith and Vaimauga coming off the bench is way more appealing than Ford.

He definitely plays too many minutes. That seems to be appealing to some because Barnett used to do it and so I think we all just assumed that, while Barnett is clearly better than Ford, we obviously needed somebody to play those big minutes. But now, I'm not so sure we were right about that.

And for whatever reason, we seem to always want the ball getting into Ford's hands. Again, people say 'look at how many carries he has. Look at how many metres he made'. But the reality is that they are generally slow as shit and shit as shit.

But you'd expect me to say all of that.

Just did a quick watch of the highlights and it has to be said, Harris Tavita had some absolutely crucial moments on both side of the ball. His tackle really turned the tide (along with and less so than the HIA's) and then he scored up at the other end. He put on a play for Niukore than led to Tuaupiki putting on a short side play for Pompey to score the match winner. He was also the guy that got back to tackle King-Togia after Sloan's break (btw, I thought Leilua's pass and King Togia's PTB were questionable)

I gave TT points for the aforementioned reasons, but this is also true. I don't know...I think it's just size.
He’s not great in wet/slippery conditions where his lack of size works against him. On a dry track he’s way more elusive and effective.
im more worried about CNK at centre, he just doesn’t seem to be able to inject himself in anything like his usual way there. Of our 3 fullbacks he seems like the one we most have to have at fullback to get value out of.

Also made an absolute screamer of a slips catch to defuse an attacking kick on our own line. A lot of really good moments in that game.
