The game is weird when they'll pull you up for a shoulder charge but a punch doesn't geta second look or even a comment from the commentators. Punch was part of vision being looked at by vid ref I believe.

yeah, spot on mate. How the f**k is it that you can land a punch to a guy square in the face and have the video ref look at it 10 times while trying to decide whether to award a try? If I was Elliot I would be telling big Ben to fire up and not let people guys half your size punch you in the face. If he had smacked him back or at least fallen down with a hollywood, something would have come of it.

I get the impression he`s all size no brain.

I didn't think we would win but I didn't think the score would blow out by that amount.
Same as the under 20's we just can't compete in the heat/humidity at this time of year but even taking that into acco6nt we were still pretty pathetic.
The hooker must be changed and anyone would be better on the wing then the other option! If the hooker is not changed it means we are in for a bad year coaching wise.
I would be expecting better attitude next week.

There's two things that may redeem the Warriors in my mind somewhat...a vast improvement in attitude, heart and spine this week vs Roosters, and how Eels go this week vs another team- Did we make them look better than they were, or have they lifted their game big time? By the look of Sandow, it might be a bit of both.
I had a feeling the Tiggers were going to be spooners this year- I'll watch tonights game...if we don't lift ours, fast, we could be the years fodder for other teams

The thing that worried me the most was the lazy marking and chasing, as soon as Sandow or Hayne made a break everyone sort of stood around and looked at each other shrugging their shoulders. Even Mannering looked bored and uninspired, it was a very strange season opener.

I'm hoping for a complete turnaround this week otherwise its going to be a very long season.
