everyone played off the hook and 2 and 1 could have been literally anyone in the team, I considered saying whole team 2 but chose a couple who really rose above where I have noticed them till now
also the Mt Smart crowd is the best, even them up-the-wahs newbies, by far the best supporters of any team in any code in NZ perhaps the world
finally what perfect weather to make it SIMPLY THE BEST!!!!!

Very, very hard week this week.

Yeah, this was the hardest week I can remember for 3,2,1s. Every player contributed.

No mention of Ford yet (one HM) but gee that would be about his best game this season. Ran for 188m, 94 post contact metres (beastly), made 45 tackles. One handling error, no penalties given away. 80 minutes played. Those are god mode/superstar numbers in a final.

I would've totally HMed Ford if I didn't HM the whole team, he had a massive game.

I think the POD is sorted for the season so I am going to award my points to the most improved players this week.

3.Pompey. Played his heart out and kicked superbly.
2 Montoya. Had a couple of bad games. Came back strong.
1,Ford. Really strong game.

3. CNK - Absolutely unreal effort which now sets up a wonderful face-off with Walsh

I was planning on handing my points to some of the underdogs as well:

2. Ford - he gets a bad rap (and probably fair enough), but when he's mistake-free he is invaluable to us
1. Pompey - again when not derping, he's dangerous and gets bonus points for doing an effective job goal kicking

You could say that only Jazz who didn't stay on for long didn't earn a point.
