Mannering has a bad game and has been below par. I am not sure it’s at the point where he is hurting us

His attack has been hurting us for years, most predictable ball runner in the nrl. Now his defense has caught up. Is it any wonder the warriors wheels really began to come off since he is back in the team - NO its not!

Bad choice of words. You just don't like the guy or value his efforts. Every forward just runs forward so that would make every forward, predictable.

No incorrect, because some players will run different lines, some players use their feet at the line, many 2nd rowers will pass at the line or shimmy into the line and look to offload, the good second rowers are not to predictable unless they are a Taumalolo type.

Mannering is a work horse and I appreciate that but you cant win NRL in the modern era with players like Mannering. No matter how much SK rates him you just simply cant win many games. Mannering comes back into the team and the warriors begin losing games again, It is no coincidence.

So no your incorrect.

I’m not sure how else to put it. In just about every game this year he has fallen off crucial tackles or made tragic defensive reads that have deadset cost us tries. Last night he had two awful efforts in two tries before halftime. They were crucial tries. As bad as we played, if Mannering makes those plays which he has always made in his career, if Fus grounds the cross field kick, and Satae holds the ball as he’s about to go over the halftime score line is reversed.

That kind of sums things up for me. Both RTS and Lawton in the second half came within a pube of scoring, but Souths kept turning up. Then they just rolled us with ease through the middle. But we bombed two clear tries in the first half, came within inches of scoring two others in the second half, and we absolutely keeled over in our goal line defence 3 times in the first half. We played abhorrently but our absolute inability to ice key plays hurt us. We are just lacking punch in the middle currently.

And for the record, anyone who still doesn’t think we miss SJ is kidding themselves.

We miss Johnson but we miss go forward more

Johnson doesn't help that much when the middle is dominated, sad thing is neither does Blair

The thing that pi$$ed me off the most about that game was that we were just not good enough....mind you, we did not have a proper half, but it was like last year with the forwards being owned.

The forwards got owned by the Burgess boys, really. It's a pretty good back once you add Crighton and Sutton in there as well- they were great. The roll on they were getting up the field in the first half was unreal.

I don't understand all the Jazz love. I like that he offers some energy off the bench, but in my view he's a handbrake in attack when he comes on. I appreciate he's got some footwork which is useful around tired forwards, but I've yet to see him have enough speed or power to be that effective. I'd personally rather see another big hard runner on the bench, especially when we're up against a strong pack like the Bunnies.

I thought Jazz was good. One offload that should have had Satae scoring, and a good run where he caught Burgess for pace where he almost scored.

I don’t like him at hooker, but his footwork can catch a lazy defender out. He’s very effective, like most players, if the props lay the foundation which didn’t happen in this game at all imo.

Jazz would be fine if the other forwards were getting some go forward. Quick PTB and retreating defence etc etc. But when our guys are getting monstered, we all know its hard to look good if you are a small quick guy.

Oh I agree. I am saying more in general this season.

I do think he would have made some difference. I think Kakariki and Johnson need each other to balance it out.

Johnson would have made a difference. He wouldn’t have won us the game, but there were moments when we looked decisively in need of a half.

I think it was one of those games when an average player playing their role effectively is going to get points. I gave Kata 3 FFS
