I was worried! I admit I was worried! But a great finish to a month of turn around footy. Whatever was said in the 'Crisis meeting'- Effin ace. Hopefully old habits won't set in after the bye after some great momentum. But for now- Hats off, they showed some balls staying in the fight and they've certainly won back and earnt respect for the turn around of the past month.

Taylor-Laumape-Fish.

Quite a list of honourable mentions you could name, a pleasing sign for a good team effort. Well deserved lads. Especially sweet to shut that godawful second string aussie commentator squad up. I'm surprised the idiots didn't delve a bit further back and bring up THAT game of Manus in their willing of the Warriors to self destruct Lol

I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. I think he knew that Fish in space = try

Been waiting all year to see the Fish in space! Big ups to Johnson, the chase down was brilliant as well. So many good plays in this game, and the most pleasing thing is the fight. The resolve never sunk.

One of the most impressive things imo was Laumape giving up about 8 inches of height to Tupou never got out-jumped once, and then out-jumped Tupou late in the game! Plus height aside, he's very safe under the high balls he can get to in general.

Any chance we can let him go to keep Friend.
Sure Lowrie is a bit home sick?

I'd like you to see my comments about Lowrie in the other thread. I haven't given up on him and don't really like seeing players getting singled out for criticism all the time, it does nothing for their confidence and hurts the team.

I saw Friend bounce off a tackle or two tonight, and he also made his usual mistake or two, resulting in turnovers.

Mannering's also making a crucial error or two in every game lately as well. He also got duped by Williams in midfield, which led to a decisive break.

In these tight situations I often find myself thinking don't let Lowrie, Mannering or Friend run with the ball and get tackled, cause they'll fumble.

3. Fish
2. Laumape
1. Matulino - every game, every **%$^#! game, he's good, real good.

Notice Williams lined up Matulino? Our man went backwards but didn't flinch.

3 laumape but easily could be the fish.

Hurrel, TL, marquee also very solid tonight.

A few really outstanding moments I can't wait to watch again on replay.
Johnson's chase - unbelievable

The beasts run away - over the first 20m I thought for all $ he would be run down, but I think he realized he only had a forward chasing & his self belief gave him an extra gear.

Fishes strip on SKD - was it a fluke or did he really go for the play, I think he did.

Overall outstanding game definitely one for a repeat viewing !

Didn't he seem to have a hamstring tweak? To me he slowed down with concern for it.

Weird thing for me with Beast's runaway was he had a couple of slow-pokes (FPN and Cordner) chasing, but only 2-3 metres behind them were a couple of quicker blokes in SBW and Pearce who didn't even chase.

That certainly would have tested it! he ran a lot tonight :) good to see him leading by example - not easy to do from the wing, but he is.

Absolutely on replay. Whether he saw the gap or not (and I think he did) he was going off Fish's body language.

When your teammate's eyes have lit up and he's winding up you know he's onto something. Only a conservative fool thinks too long before passing.

Have to say congrats on you guys belting those arrogant chooks.Capped my day off nicely.
My Dragons lost so seeing the chooks beaten was the next best thing.....lol.
The Warriors are starting to play the footy we all knew they could.......good luck 2013.

Just got home from the game! We were seriously close to outnumbering the Roosters supporters there, warriors change went across the ground a few times, whenever manu got the ball there was a huge manuuuu call especially when he cut loose.

Was sitting in bay 19 with a fair few warriors and supporters and the loudest cheers weren't for the tries it was for the Johnson chase and the fish try saver, the place was going crazy such a good atmosphere, top stuff by everyone that got out to the game good to see the support.

Did anyone from here go to the game??

My 3-2-1 for this game is

3. Fish - did great at the back, defused bombs scored/saved tries, returned it hard and fast.

2. Laumape - great work getting us out if our end really lifted the sits along with Manu.

1. Leuleuai - his defence was outstanding.

Honourable mentions to the whole team, great defense all game, good go forward.

Anyone know what the deal was with Packer? Went off after 10 mins couldn't remember seeing him again?

Not sure- I don't remember seeing him again either, but he looked fine after the game, didn't appear to be injured in any visible way.

EDIT; Annnd my 3-2-1...
3- Hurrell. What a beast. Multiple times he ran into the defensive line and left Roosters with stingers (or perhaps actual minor injuries, who knows? Cordner looked well gone in the first half)
2- Johnson. That defensive play on Jennings was pure gold. One or two blocks helping out Ngani in dealing with the kicks through also - a composed game.
1- Laumape. We simply can't afford to not have this guy in the team. The most special of players don't need much reserve grade between youth and NRL - and I'm comfortable now saying Laumape is one of those very, very special players in the making. Been among our best every week he's played. Long term he's probably Hurrell's centre partner, but jeez he can do quite a job anywhere in the outside backs. Amazing for someone I don't really recall standing out this much in the 20s.

Potty break?

3 - Mutts
2 - Taylor
1 - Laumape

So many players were deserving.

Lowrie again annoyed me with those 2 penalties he gave away in the first that helped them to the lead at the break.
