Yeah Niukore's effort over the last two weeks has been significantly better. I wonder where the rocket came from.

Ford had a wonderful game, could have got 3 points another week.

I agree with this. It was Easts....who beat Penriff last week. And we looked pretty average in attack. Which explains the criticism of Metcalf and CHT. We looked far, far better when Walker was on. But our pack is doing better than I expected. Nikoure and Capewell are staunch. Our bench is working!

Yeah Ford works in that role, coming off the bench for big minutes and high output. Hopefully Webby doesn't mess with that formula, I think the forward rotation is working and will only get better as Leka and Demetric get more experience and minutes.

Could be just simplifying his role.

I remember start of last year Webster talked about him spending a lot of preseason training in the middle and intending to use him in a dual role. It all seemed to be preparing for life after AFB which then changed after Fish unexpectedly signed.

So far this year he seems to be mainly camped on his right edge and doing nothing but running hard and direct at edge defenders which has always been his strength. So maybe its just role clarity, especially if he spent the offseason training only that instead of trying to do a hybrid gig.

HM for Clark and Leka, who looked seriously good.
A lot of very reliable performances from Capewell, Clark, Walker, RTS.

Metcalf was the only worry for me, he really blows hot and cold.
I don't understand why we don't have a TMM / Metcalf halves combo with a CHT super sub.

Because we have one already on the bench in Dylan Walker. It would throw us completely out placing two utilities on the bench.

Webster seems committed to Metcalfe, for now. Overall I can’t criticise that, I’d hope he sticks for 6 or so, somehow we’re 2/3 so why change for a journeyman? Bit like Lawson in F1, might be wrong decision ultimately but sacking someone with talent and comparative youth after a couple of mediocre (Metcalfe) or poor (Lawson) performances indicates you didn’t know what you were doing to start…. Which might have been the case, nonetheless they need a run and again we’re 2/3, TMM wouldn’t have changed that
