3. Shaun Johnson - he was getting three from me for sentimental reasons anyway but, no, he earned it.

2. Dallin - great finisher.

1. Addin - metres all night.

3: SJ. Looked like he was totally enjoying himself. Great fullstop to his career.
2: Metcalf, Solid game. The pass for Motoyas try was sweet.
1: DWZ. for the pies

HM Montoya. Not the biggest, strongest, most evasive, skillful winger but he gives you everything he has every week. He doesn't get a lot of love but other than the penalty he have away (which admittedly led to a try), I can't remember any other errors.

DHM: Walker. For dropping a turd on the ref's doorstep sometime during the week. Butler was determined to penalize Walker for everything in that first half so it must have been personal.

There was a moment in that 2nd Half when we were firing up and Monty takes a hit up with space. He just charges straight into them, no hint of a sidestep, it was all about putting fear in their eyes!

Monty always has his moments.
That’s what I love about him, always 110% intensity.

I still feel like Tauapiki is just too small for the NRL

DM- DWZ

I’m frustrated that we don’t get penalties, but his constant milking is pathetic

Yet without it we lose that game. So not giving him a DM this week.
Exactly. I think DWZ tends to milk it because the officials often overlook illegal high tackles against our players. SJ pulled off a blatant milk job against Manly, which ultimately won us the game. We just need to be smarter about this aspect of the game and choose our moments to milk effectively. DWZ has been hit illegally in the head 14 times this season without earning a penalty. I don’t blame him for trying to milk it.

On the other hand, TMM never stayed down despite being hit illegally six times. In one instance, even though the bunker clearly saw the high hit on replay, no penalty was awarded. While getting up to play on is courageous, it doesn’t benefit the team when the rules are being ignored.

That game was a perfect indicator of what DWZ is really, gets all the plaudits for the flashy put downs, but let’s as many in with poor D and some of the passes he was trying to throw in his own end would have had Webster nearly jumping out of the box. His milking is often a momentum killer, and there have been plenty of them all year when there is nothing in it
