One final mention - Simmons. We've all been death-riding him all week, but he came up OK tonight without being brilliant. Not bad for a kid under pressure.

Under pressure from who? The forum????????

He has consistently been selected so unless you know something then where was the pressure??

He played ok is abt the max rating I give him - he was not a patch on most wingers who have performed this weekend. (ok not counting Youngquest lol)

Well Mako, since my 'we all' comment was made here...It is we keyboard heroes that I speak of.

This is the internet, it has no relevance outside of our little lives. Well, that's how I look at it anyway!

I have no idea if he was under pressure within the club...But I would suspect that any young bloke trying to cement a 1st grade spot in the NRL would be under considerable pressure every week. There's also a couple of blokes like Nathan Merritt and Paul Mellor who could force their way into the starting side in his place...

Sounds like pressure to me!

well i think simmons knows that he has the first grade spot cemented. because he has played many dodgy games, and yet he still makes the side. all while merrit waits around in premier league. so I still dont think there is any pressure

Yeah, fair call Warren. More's the pity, because form is what is supposed to get you selected or dropped. What have we done, taken the Aussie Cricket approach to selection?

I thought the Sharks would get up tonight. The Eels have nothing, they are a very overrated team. Mind you they might play alot better against us next week.

The Sharks look a good chance to make the 8 and be a threat at season's end, but Kimmorley needs to remain injury free.

go away, Troll!!!!

3. Kimmorely ( We are a more focused team under his captaincy)
2. Gallen (Great workrate and gave us great momentum with his runs)
1. Peachey ( Great attacking skills in oppostion 20metre. & great positional play)

Honourable mentions to Covell (Best Winger at our club & Goal kicking is agreat bonus.)

Michael Sullivan was again very creative from dummy half.

Big Hutch gave us great muscle marking off the huge Parra prpos well and produced some great bustling runs.

Stosic produced a Nutley performance.

3 - Mick Stone
2 - Glen Morrison
1 - Ian Henderson (though I sincerely hope he's OK)

We were lucky.
We did seem to play stronger towards the end of each half - due to parras injuries.
Obviously happy with the 2 points but we need to improve greatly to be a threat to other teams.

3 - noddy
2 - gallen
1 - peachey

big improvement on last week from just about everybody (except dykes who has been consistently good). hutch was more impressive and kudos to simmons for a vast improvement ie no major fugg-ups and holding on to a few tackles (still jets material though. no offence to newtown). lomu still unconvincing maybe replace him with stosic when the front row returns.

how's leuleuai going at newtown we need at least one other big, mobile back-rower. perhaps mellor ?

Where was Vagana?

Attacking the line two or more times, getting repeat sets EACH TIME he was withing 10-15m of the line. Deserved more ball than those 2, 3 or maybe even 4 times he touched it, but his touches definately weren't shit.

His second kick was unlucky though, the Eel's player didn't even know he had stopped it until he saw Vagana back-tracking haha!

3 - Noddy
2 - Gallen
1 - Peach

Special mentions to Covell, great goalkicker, and a VERY solid winger. How much have we missed that?

Simmonds, my MOTHER said WTF when he actually looked at the ball instead of the opposition in that awkward catch 13s into the game. Exact comment: "I didn't know that little girl had balls!" Hopefully he has them and guts will help too!

Stosic was very good. Didn't take a step back, even Pearce gave him a wrap!

Dykes had a quite game, but still, I didn't see too many errors.
Hutch also a energetic game to start it up, but then what happened?

Not a great game, but definately had me happier than last week.
