1st line. Good question.
if he was treated like the average footballer he is, & his manager was not threatening every 5 seconds, & he was in & out of grade working on his deficiencies, i'd say there would be no extreme views.
But he isn't treated that way. Hes one of our highest paid young players. I saw him let 2 trys in & bomb 2 in the same game & he gets lauded while same people then have a crack at Gallen. Its head shakingly hard to fathom!

More dribble..

Don't know how to quote with the new format. I'm sure Barba was saying happy B'day mate, go go.

Who woulda thunk it.

OK lets suspend suplief in here for a second & go along with that. The most dangerous player in our back line is Holmes. Barba is NOT the long range or short range instigator. Bird is not the strike weapon this year & all of Holmes trys are on the back of his own brilliant work. Beale was NOT the instigator of any of Holmes trys last year & Holmes created the trys out of nothing. LAst year we were scoring long range trys & that was all due to Holmes.
Yesterdays game did not see Barba score 3 long range trys , Feki score 2 long range trys or Bird score trys created from nothing. No, it was all Holmes.
& that is why he is in everybodies 3-2-1 He doesnt even have to be there to be awesome.

Next time you get a match report from your Labrador ask him who set up barbas long range try against the knights

Ohh no. I saw his 2nd & last line break of the game. He gave it to bird, who did really well & then gave it to Barba on the halfway who then beat 3 defenders & actually made it to the try line. Untouched. It was classic Barba. Our best player.
Vals other line break was a beauty. He had to work hard to shake off Korbin Simms who kept up with him for 80 metres &everntually got him on the line & forced him to hog the ball & then extend his arm into a double movement play for which he was penalised. Not his fault though, hes only 20.
I thought our reliuable winger had a good game though except for that drop, where our best player somehow dfended the try line & stopped a try.

Jack Bird - 15 runs, 178 metres, 3 line breaks, two tries
Ben Barba - not just an explosive player with exceptional ball handling skills, he controls our defensive line, you can hear him spraying instructions to the team all game.
Michael Ennis - 40 tackles (ten more then anyone else on the field)

I'd give some points to the Newie Winger Ross. As the game progressed I got shittier and shittier with him and his antics and then he started to grow on me. I liked the way he got under our blokes skin and niggled the shit out of them.

If the knights had 6 forwards like him it would of been an entirely different game.

He never took a backward step and score a good try.

God bless his little cotton socks.
