Hutch

gallen

Hutch gets my points because of the 60 metre run where he beat about six tackles.
Unstoppable! And the offload to Peach.

LOL, he's quickly becoming the crowd favourite isn't he!

Bit of a 'Willie Mason Cult Figure' without the w@nk factor.

Just gets stuck in and has a red hot go. No silly carry on, just a good work ethic and a desire to make every minute he spends on the field a winner.

The cool name and the hairdo just add the extras!

I missed most of the second half as I had to go out to dinner to meet my brother's fiancee's family. But from what I saw:

3 - Kimmorley
2 - Hutch
1 - Gallen

3 - All the forwards were great - but Hutch has to get points for the 80 m run. Altho if Stevens had scored he prob would have got 3 because it is so rare that he scores (guess that could be taken more than one way - :D )
2 - BK - love the 40-20 - more please

3-Mellor- perhaps it wasnt as evident on the TV, but his defence kept us in the match in the first half, playing on a the side that was pepered by every storm play, he locked it up.

yeah i thought he had a great game

when they went wide in the first half he was always in their faces monstoring them and farging up their backline moves

same against the broncs

our centers used to bleed line breaks

yet if you read other comments on him he "did nothing"

go figure

3 points – Paul Gallen: If this guy doesn’t get a call up for City vs. Country then the game is a farce and should be played on the moon. Every week he makes 100 hit-ups for a 1000m and a million tackles. Who else does that?

2 points – Hutch Maiava: It is testimony as to how good this guy is when the Bulldogs don't know who they miss more, Hutch or Steve Price. While he is often less than enthusiastic about getting back onside it is a completely different story when he has the ball in his hands. He is actually on of the leading metre-eaters in the NRL despite the fact he comes off the bench!

1 point – Brett "Goddy" Kimmorley: Narrowly pipped Danny Nutley & Jason Stevens for the last point in what was truly a forwards game (they scored 4 of the Sharks 5 tries). But because the forwards did what they did Kimmorley rewarded his team mates with lots of repeat sets from spot-on kicking that showed up rival Matt Orford that he knew the dimensions of Olympic Park better than his replacement. Constantly made the right decision with ball in hand and didn’t whinge when the referees made questionable decisions.

Agree with the Mellor sentiments Millers and Black dot. His defence is very solid and we have look alot better defensively since his inclusion. He should only get better from an attacking point of view as the season goes on.

My top three

1. Kimmorley - Set up several try's and kicking game was excellent.
2. Stevo - Lead the way up front and appeared to get through alot more defensive work then he usually does.
3. Nutley - Was excellent again making plenty of yards and lots of tackles.

While Hutch has been good we would be stuffed without Stevo and Nutley and the go forward they give us.
