Let's get this bad boy underway.

3. Johnson - in absolutely irresistible form
2. Wright - amazing D
1. Tomkins - calming influence

3 SJ - All around great game, involved himself in everything and came up with some vital plays. Wish he had a bit more speed though!
2 Wright - Single-handedly saved at least 3 tries. Had his best ever game for us, great effort to bounce back from his last game.
1 Tui - great finishing and support play

Honorable mentions to Tomkins and Bodene, who both had great games. Can't really think of anyone who had a bad game, except RFM who kept dropping the ball early on!

3. Wright - welldone, champ! Always nice to see a man pick himself up from the embarrassment-bin.
2. Johnson - with him I want 100% awesomeness, always, but his goalkicking is not consistent enough!
1. Fusitua - Great try, great take in-goal when the Storm could have come back.

3- SJ. Everyone's entitled to their opinion but I don't see how you couldn't give 3 to him this week. Freak.
2- Friend. Dunno how you get to 34 and play some of the best footy of your life, and bound around like a 21 year old, but he is. Would be a bit sad if he wasn't at the club next year but it'd equally be sad to see him end up in NSW Cup.
1- Tui. This kid is the goods and might just win Rookie of the Year. Apart from the cross-kick, completely held Koroibete in check and did so many things right on attack.

My first honourable should go to J.Wright, who I bag every week but was solid. I would also point out he was on a rookie, and is a 100+ gamer so he probably should've...but no he was very handy cover for Manu.

Our whole right side was incredible, Mannering was great, Tomkins shows how much we miss him when he's gone, etc.

Shit I enjoyed that.

3. SJ. Outstanding. Playing either side of the ruck had Melbourne f**ked.
2. Matulino. Storm forwards spent so much energy engaging him.
1. Tomkins. Great reading of the game. He is the key to the final.

3. Johnson - dominant. Turned it on when the game was there to be won.
2. Wright - saved a few tries.
1. Fusitua - looked really, really good. Short of an injury in the backline, Konny has lost his spot.

Hon mentions- Mannering, Tomkins, Lolohea, Bodene & Matulino (despite some pretty average plays from him towards the end)

3. Johnson ...The step on Cameron Smith leaving him grasping thin air was worth a youtube clip on its own.

2. Fusitua....a real step up

1. Wright... A great redemption match. His defence was awesome

Seems a touch strange to put 3 backs into the 3-2-1's, but IMO well deserved

Mentions to Bodene Mannering Pomkins (good work OB) Friend and Tui

Simon needed some points. Beast mode AGAIN on D in the middle of the park nullifying their forwards.

3 - SJ (was absolutely brilliant, almost flawless)
2 - Fusitua (was reminiscent for me of Toopi in his best form in 2002-03, looked likely everytime he touched the ball)
1 - Wright (toss up between him and Tui but his defence was superb)

Hon. mentions to Tui, Friend (for that tap back alone), Mannering and Tomkins, whose direction and communication is really underestimated. I think he'd be (other than SJ and Mannering) our most important player, and it's no surprise imo that we are starting to hit form now that he's back in the side.

One of the most entertaining games i've seen in a long time. Both teams played well, were willing to throw the ball around, and were committed on D (felt sorry for the Storm centre, though, Hunt - got absolutely carved up).

And Friend!
