3-2-1 vs Tigers

Good team performance this week, quite hard to pick the standouts.

3- The Chad (best game this year, some great touches)
2- Jonno Wright (safe at the back and topped the metres gained in the backline)
1 - The Hoff (topped the metres, just pipping Mutts for the points)

Honourable mentions to pretty much everyone else. Mixed bags from Hurrell, SJ and Kata, but they're all showing the reasons that people rate them at least.

3. The Beast (2 tries on your 200th. Legend. Doesn't matter that he didn't have his best performance)

2. The Chad (I'm starting to believe he's actually becoming good, if only he could tackle)

1. The Hoff (huge game all around)

Honourable:

SJ (good to see you back buddy!)
Mannering (some excellent tackles there near the end)
Jonno Wright (best game from him, still not a good player though)
Lilly (consistently delivering now)

No one really stood out. If I had to:

3- Chad. Played exactly how I want him to tonight. Made a lot of touches count but left Johnson to do the bulk of the work and own the attack. Can't recall him doing much wrong
2- Matulino. Not the best game of his year but he consistently bends the line back. Hard to be his best given he's on top of the Dally M and has been brilliant most weeks.
1- Manu. Again, not his best game but both finishes were world class and the difference between the sides. The mana this bloke brings made a lot of people - Kon in particular - pull finger and bar up for his 200th.

Hoff never plays badly, SJ was OK, Thompson did good things, and yeah even Wright didn't stink it up. Look out for JT to target him and Kon next week though.

Was tempted to give Manu points, but couldn't leave Wright out as it's probably the only time I'll give him points!! Manu will get plenty more this year, though I reckon Mutts is short odds for the chocolates.

3. Townsend. It's been said already.
2. Wright. A man under fire doing his covering duties well.
1. Hoffman. A big go-forward, forward! Exactly what we've needed.

Hon men. Mannering, he tackled hard in a crucial period late in the game when the Tigers could have come home. Manu, it's obvious. Lillyman, keep the grunt going. Hurrell, we saw some of what we know he can do. SJ, he has an effective forward pack this season, it should make him the mega-star we know he is!

Despite a shaky win the beer's tasting good.

3- Townsend
2- Matulino
1- Wright

Good game from Hoffman, but I am surprised that his game seems to have been so highly rated by so many of you. Anyway...

Better game from Johnson.

3: Lillyman - 158m, clean sheet in errors and penalties.
2: Manu, pity about 2 errors as should otherwise could of been 3 points. Great double and traditional hit ups. Sentimental vote.
1: Townsend - good individual try, stepped up in attack infirst half, defensively targeted and caught out a bit, seemed missing in second half.

Hon mention SJ, floated around creating things from nothing but still seems off, not sure if missing Slippery Tomkin's or carrying an injury?
Hurrell made some impactful run on some good angles.
Hoffman solid and great meters but with a few errors.

Loloheas best performance this year. Looked confident.

Kata needs a spell down in NSW cup to settle down a bit.

Seriously folks, the points for Wright are sympathy points right? He did well tonight, but one of the top three warriors players on the field...yeah, but nah.

Depends on your point of view... personally I think Matulino played like an absolute goose for a good bit of that game, throwing loose balls when it wasn't on... lucky to only have turned it over once. I'd say Wright had a better game than him, defused a couple of potentially nasty situations, ran for over 100 metres and made no errors in a game that had few real standout players.

Lillyman, Johnson, Bodene and Tui were the other players I considered when thinking about points.
